A high alkaline, low foaming liquid, ALKASIL is designed to remove proteinaceous soils from food, dairy
and beverage processing and packaging equipment and the surrounding work areas. Caustic ALKASIL

performance standards. Sodium hydroxide is the active ingredient behind ALKASIL’S powerful cleaning
force, which saponifies fat, dissolves protein, and removes carbonized and greasy soils. ALKASIL attacks
food soils such as sugar, fat, protein, salt, or any combination of these…removing them quickly and
efficiently.
High tech surfactant technology.
ALKASIL incorporates the very latest in Hi-Tech surfactant technology, this formulation was developed
to have the lowest surface tension for maximum wetting, filming and deposit penetration, reduces
rinsing and increases efficiency of clean. All this means maximum cleaning power for your plant and
equipment.
Aggressive Cleaning Even When Hard Water is used.
While water is essential to cleaning nearly any food processing equipment, it alone is not a very
efficient cleaning substance. Sodium glucaheptonate is added to ALKASIL as a chelating agent to attack
build ups of calcium and iron which commonly occur when hard water is used.
Low Foaming
ALKASIL’s low foaming characteristic means less foam, less time to rinse. No clogged equipment and no
pump cavitation. ALKASIL provides labour and time savings! Add further economy due to ALKASIL being
effective at an in-use dilution of 1-3%, depending on soil loading.
Versatile
Use ALKASIL in CIP applications, through foamer and pressure spray equipment, in soaking and manual
cleaning operations. ALKASIL is an excellent smokehouse cleaner and may also be used for General
Surface cleaning of floors and walls in processing areas.

Do not mix with chemicals not specified on the product label.
Do not use on aluminium or other soft metals.
Clean-In-Place (CIP): Dilute ALKASIL 1%-3% Circulate through system. Rinse thoroughly with potable
water.
General Surface Cleaning: Dilute ALKASIL 1%-3%. Apply to floors, walls and other surfaces. Agitate if
required. Rinse thoroughly with potable water
